Overview

Lone Tree is a south Denver suburb, tucked just off I-25 in between Littleton and Parker. It’s located 20 miles south of downtown Denver with Parker to the east, Littleton and Highlands Ranch to the west, and Englewood and Centennial to the north.

Conveniently located along the Light Rail at Lincoln Station (the last stop south), this front range town lies within Douglas County

Working in Lone Tree

The town’s main hospital, Sky Ridge Medical Facility, recently underwent an expansion and serves as one of the largest local employers in Lone Tree.

The City provides a favorable business climate to a diverse and dynamic group of industries. A large number of companies are finding success in Lone Tree thanks to their favorable tax climate, low business costs and dependable workforce, including Park Meadows Mall, Allstate Insurance, Amica, Verizon, and Lockheed Martin.

 

Charles Schwab is another major employer in Lone Tree. Construction of the 38-acre project includes 675,000 square feet in three office buildings, was built so that Charles Schwab could consolidate its service center facilities and allow the company to expand its presence in Denver if desired. The campus has capacity for up to 4,500 employees. A key goal for the campus was the creation of flexible and efficient building plans that allow Schwab to adjust the office and workstation layouts as the company’s needs evolve.

Lone Tree is a quick drive or light-rail ride into the Denver Tech Center, Downtown Denver or West into Highlands Ranch, making for easy commutes. Lone Tree City Center is a light rail station in Lone Tree, Colorado, part of the RTD system in Denver. It is served by three lines: the E Line to Union Station, F Line to Downtown Denver, and R Line to Aurora. Three light rail stations within RidgeGate's land boundaries opened in spring 2019: Sky Ridge Station, Lone Tree City Center Station, and RidgeGate Parkway brought the Regional Transportation District's rail system to its southernmost point in the metro area.

The Lone Tree Link On Demand shuttle offers free rides around Lone Tree, easily requested on a mobile app. Link On Demand works by pairing your ride with others going in the same direction, like a bus route that’s always changing based on who needs a ride. The shuttle may detour to pick up other passengers while you’re on board, but don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get to your destination!

Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus service and door-to-door FlexRide service are also available within the RidgeGate community.

You’ll find easy access to airports from Lone Tree. Denver International Airport, the largest airport in the region, is located just 30 minutes northeast of RidgeGate. If you prefer to take light rail to DEN, you can access the A Line from Union Station to DEN for a $9 fare. You can also take the R Line from Lincoln Station, Sky Ridge Station, Lone Tree City Center Station or RidgeGate Parkway Station, northeast to Peoria Station, and then from there hop on the A Line to DEN. Centennial Airport is a quick 10 minutes away, and is the major reliever airport in the region for corporate and charter flights.
